|The Salk Institute Facility Service department is responsible for overseeing building maintenance, ground maintenance, the interior and exterior building systems, and grounds.|
Under general direction, the Department Administrator provides a variety of complex and non-routine administrative support to the Sr. Director of Facility Services, department managers and supervisors, and Facility/Security Services employees. Coordinates with Administrative Assistants to meet office administrative needs, acting as back-up when necessary. Provides excellent customer service to FS/SEC staff and management, Institute staff and vendors. Effectively communicates orally, electronically and in writing. Pays close attention to detail in completing documentation forms, and projects as needed. Ability to work independently. Multi-tasks with frequently changing priorities.
This position requires constant adjusting focus, grasping, hearing, keying, seeing, sitting, talking, analyzing, calculating, communicating, reading, reasoning, writing, working in confined areas and working inside.
