Job Title: Lab Technician I - Regulatory Biology Laboratory
Status: Regular Part Time

Laboratory/Department: Regulatory Biology Laboratory
Lab focuses on the mechanisms by which genes are transcriptionally regulated and how these processes can malfunction to cause disease.
Position Description:

Position is responsible for performing routine laboratory work under close supervision, such as: ordering lab supplies, preparing buffer solutions, washing glassware, autoclaving, and other general lab duties. In addition, position will facilitate experiments conducted by postdocs on protein purification and biochemical characterization; drug screening; analysis of the stress response in primary human tissue and tumors or cancer cell lines; and measuring RNA synthesis, protein expression and epigenetic modifications before and after induction of cellular stress.



  • Undergraduate courses work in biological sciences or a related field.


  • Prior experience working in a lab environment.
Special Requirements:
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on research needs.
  • Must be willing to work in an animal-related research environment.
  • Successful completion of the Institute‚Äôs background investigation.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires constant seeing and working inside.
