The expectation is that trainees will study in the many new fields developed by Institute faculty, learn the research techniques they have created, and go on to positions of leadership in other prominent scientific institutions. |Work in the lab is centered on understanding how neural circuits in the brain transfrom environmental stimuli into appropriate behavioral outputs.|
|Position Description: We are seeking post-doctoral fellows to study how the nervous system responds to changes in the environment and executes behaviors. We are also actively seeking engineers who are interested in technology development. We use a combination of genetics, behavior analysis, and imaging in the C.elegans and zebrafish models.|
|Education: A strong background in cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, neuroscience or engineering is preferred.|
